1.4: The Waves of Solace

The rising and falling of the waves never ceases to stop
Through time, they remain the same, pounding the sandy beaches relentlessly without hesitation
When darkness and shadows of doubt creep in, and their task seems daunting, intimidating, and hopeless, all is not lost
For the waves will peer up at the sky, observe the tranquil skies, the bright stars, and the peaceful clouds and will continue on reassured, with renewed vigor and strength, knowing all is well
For the sun shall rise up once more to shine upon the waves

1.3: A Worn Path

The closer things seem to be, the farther they really are.
It's just one step after another,
one more foot after each other,
going on and on and on.
Move one inch at a time,
One mile at a time;
It's the same path you've learned to love,
after years and years of walking--
One step after another,
one more foot after each other,
Even strangers of far away lands
become the closest of brothers--
on this path we take one step after another,
placing one foot after the other.

1.2: Forest Sight

We always look for what's beyond the things we see,
we crave adventures and climbing trees,
off, far off, to far away lands,
This be a mystery-- take my hand.

1.0: Sources of Light (Beyond the Window)

Beyond the Window

they say it is better to light one candle,
than to curse the darkness.
what darkness? what light?
must such things be candid battles?
the littlest of things, in themselves,
know that words are only worth the measure
that people take into consideration.
alas, the crypt of absent festers
is now open for the whole world to see--
at the blink of an eye, the thin sheets of lye
disappear in the sweet sense of the sun.
